Jaxon Northon is an American portrait artist and illustrator born in Reno, Nevada. As a teenager, he moved to San Francisco, California where he developed as a self-taught oil painter. He creates highly realistic paintings of people he has met in his daily life on the fringes of society. Aside from commissioned portraits, Jaxon’s work has been exhibited in galleries in Reno, San Francisco, New York and London and has been featured in and on the cover of numerous magazines, publications and films. He recently was selected for The Art Student League of New York’s prestigious Career Development Program under the tutelage of the renowned painter, Marc Dennis. He now lives and works in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York with his wife Crystal Sugartown Collazo Esparza-Northon.
